Maid of Honor
Macey's forever roomie + Mexico travel buddy. Jordan (AKA Georgie) is Macey's forever friend. She is kind-hearted and freaking hilarious. There is no one in the world that could deal with Macey's ugly selfies and chicken finger cravings like Jordan. No matter the curve ball life may throw, nothing could keep these two apart. Everyone needs a Georgie in their lives!
Bridesmaid
Rachel Ufford. Cousins by birth, sisters by choice - forever and always. Rachel is the big sister Macey never had (oldest child probs), and she has (and will) always be her biggest supporter, her shoulder to lean on, and her BFF to laugh with till' their sides cramp up. It seems like just yesterday that they were playing house in the basement... now they are living those games out in real life!
Bridesmaid
Abby... where to even begin with how amazing you are?! Abby was Macey's first friend at college, and she is one of the most faithful friends she has ever had... ever. Abby is one of those people that 100% understands Macey's *very* weird sense of humor, and they are basically always laughing together. At the same time, Abby listens wholeheartedly and gives the best advice. Abby is just amazing.
Bridesmaid
Well first of all let's just point out that that Kelsie and Macey got engaged on the same day (totally not planned)!!! Kelsie is one of those people that would be considered "chosen family." They aren't related by blood, but blood couldn't make them any closer. Kelsie is so wise and adventurous and genuine. She's always ready for spontaneity, and she's always ready to talk about life until 2am at camp. Everyone deserves a friend like Kelsie.
Bridesmaid
Kylee (AKA Little Nub) is Macey's go-to cousin for a guaranteed laugh. Kylee and Macey have shared some memories that will never not make them laugh (synchronized ice skating, slug catching, making up random clubs/businesses, etc). Kylee has always been like Macey's little sister, and she wouldn't trade her fun-loving spirit for the world.
Junior Bridesmaids
Dulci is Macey's sister, and Ally is Ian's sister. They are both incredibly sweet and full of life. They couldn't be more loved by the bride and groom! The day that Ian and Macey got engaged, Dulci came up to Macey and said with tears in her eyes, "You found the perfect man." Macey then proceeded to burst into tears, haha! Dulci's sweet heart brings so much joy to Macey's life. Ally Merlak's energetic and fun-loving attitude is what makes her so amazing. Without fail, she asks Macey to wear her striped shirt everytime she knows she's going to see her. For some reason, she's obsessed with it, lol! Her goofiness always makes Macey smile!
Best Man
Sticky Nicky DeMaira. WHAT IS UP BUDDIES?! Nick and Ian have been buddies ever since the 5th grade and share a common interest in everything. Nick is the most energetic person in the entire world and has every possible inside joke with Ian. Nick has always been there for Ian, and is always in the mood to dance. Everyone needs a Nicky in their lives!
Groomsman
Paul Dadio Merlak a.k.a. Papa Smurf. Imagine the best possible Dad in the world, then multiply it by infinity and 4 and that will equal half the man that Paul Merlak is to his eldest son, Ian. From multiple hour-long baseball trips to marrying Heather Merlak (Ian’s Mom) and adopting Ian into the Merlak family at age 2, Papa Smurf has been nothing but the most selfless man in the world and is a shining example of God’s fatherly love to his children. Love you, Dadio.
Groomsman
Jip Jimbo Merlak, a complete gift from God, and Ian’s best friend. Ian prayed every single day for 4 consecutive years for a little brother to love and to play with. Little did he know that God would give him much more than that. JP Merlak is Ian’s absolute best friend ever since he was born. Jip is a complete copycat of Ian, just with some bigger muscles and hits dingers in baseball (although he still can’t beat Ian in a race quite yet 😉), so this makes doing everything with JP so much fun. JP is a gracious gift from God to Ian.
Groomsman
“Hi, my name’s Ian and I’m in Honors Geometry” - said the humble 8th grader, Ian. If he only knew that he was saying this to his future brother-in-law, he might have reconsidered his words before he spoke. Oh, good times. Ian has gotten to know Jake through the many hang outs at the Lloyd family’s house, and has had the pleasure of making an amazing friend out of a future brother-in-law. God has blessed Ian with the many God-centered conversations on long road trips with Jake, and Ian couldn’t ask for a better brother-in-law than Jake. P.S. - Can’t wait to have my tie back.
Groomsman
Brendan “Chief Little Foot” O’Daniell, “and they were roommates”. From one of Ian’s sons (he was a resident when Ian was his RA...promise it’s not weird) to becoming Ian’s brother (metaphorically...still not weird), God gave Ian a special gift of Brendan as an amazing friend at AU, and he was an obvious choice as Ian’s final groomsman. Though Brendan and Ian haven’t been friends for very long, it is clear that the two are going to be buddies for life. Not only has Brendan been an amazing brother in Christ, but he also cheers with Ian for the St. Louis Cardinals, making him an obvious Christ-centered man. Brendan has been a gift to Ian in his last year of college, and Ian looks forward to touching Brendan’s feet for years to come (inside joke...ya this one’s admittingly weird).
Junior Groomsmen
Mr. Joel Lloyd. Where to begin? Joel and Ian love playing catch with the football and watching the Michigan football games at the Lloyd's house. Ian still isn’t sure whether Joel likes Ian or Ian’s Playstation more, but I guess that kind of brother in-law love is necessary. Haddon “Tuna” Lloyd. “What is your favorite animal?” This is a question Ian is happy to answer from Haddon every day. Haddon brings so much joy to Ian, and Ian will never grow old of Tuna’s big smile when he “accidentally” hits Ian with a Nerf bullet.
