Blake's family owned Topcat's Restaurant in Springfield, Illinois. Macey's cousin and one of Blake's best friends Clayton invited out all of his friends and family to a band at Topcat's. Macey came to dinner and drinks with her parents to celebrate Clayton's birthday. Blake was working as usual and getting ready for the band. Clayton's mom knowing both Blake and Macey were big Taylor Swift fans shouted over to Blake that Macey had just went to the Eras Tour and that he should talk to her about it. Blake and Macey hit it off and talked all night. Unfortunately Blake was really shy and nothing came of it for a while. Finally after three weeks he added her on Snapchat (while he was away in Boston) and they started to talk. A couple weeks later they went on their first date and the rest is history.

Blake and Macey headed down to Grafton, Illinois to meet up with Macey's now maid of honor Grace for dinner. Little did Macey know Blake had already planned the whole thing with Grace weeks before and found the perfect river overlook to propose. It had been sunny the whole day but the closer and closer Blake and Macey got to where Blake was going to propose the more it rained. Macey didn't know why at the time, but Blake kept mentioning how upset he was that it was raining (he knew there was no chance Macey would get out of the car if it was raining and Grace was hiding out by the overlook to film the whole thing). As Blake and Macey drove up towards the lookout, the rain stopped just in time to get out of the car. Blake took Macey to the overlook and popped the question.

To celebrate their engagement Macey and Blake headed to Maui. While on the island they watched sunrise from the top of a volcano, hiked to some waterfalls, visited the famous black sand beach and did a lot of snorkeling. One day while snorkeling Macey and Blake were able to swim with hundreds of fish, three sea turtles and a group of manta rays. It was turtally awesome.

Blake is absolutely obsessed with sports. Whether it be his St. Louis Billikens basketball, Blues hockey, or Cardinals baseball. Recently he has also became a huge Ole Miss football fan (Macey's alma mater). Macey and Blake have already gone to countless sporting events together. Watching the Rebels beat Oklahoma in Oxford and the Cardinals win at Wrigley have been Blake's favorite games he has seen with Macey so far.
