Freshman Year. Seattle Pacific University. Two awkward 18-year-olds. Well… it all began in Chemistry 101. On the first day of class we magically found ourselves sitting next to each other. Spencer’s VERY cool pick-up line in the cafeteria was, “Hey! I think you’re in my class. What did you get on the test?” Before we knew it, we were studying after class, sharing notes, and eventually were lab partners. Our first official date (not in the chemistry lab) was at the Woodland Park Zoo. This was thanks to the coercion of many of our mutual friends who orchestrated the whole thing. Who knew that pick-up line would lead to the 7 best years of our lives!
Sarah always said she wanted to get engaged in the spectacular North Cascade mountains, but she didn’t really leave me much choice living across the country. So, I chose the next best thing… downtown Boston! Our families and friends flew out for what would be Sarah’s “graduation celebration” on Valentine’s Day Weekend. I proposed on February 13th, a bright sunny and snowy winter day on a bridge in Boston Commons Public Garden. This was one of our favorite spots in the city. Surprise! She said yes! We had champagne and celebrated with friends and family- safe to say it was one of the best days ever! We can't wait to celebrate with you in Tubac!
