FAQs

Question

What's the recommended attire?

Answer

We kindly ask that our guests join us in dressing up for our special day. We request formal attire, such as floor-length gowns or formal cocktail dresses for women, and a suit and tie for men.

Question

When should I reserve my hotel room?

Answer

We've set up several room blocks available for our guests at nearby hotels, with additional information available in the Travel tab. Spots are limited, so we recommend making your reservation as soon as you know you'll be joining us at the wedding and submitting your RSVP! The hotel room blocks and special rates are available to our guests until August 11th. Afterwards, any remaining rooms will be available to the general public and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

After our formal wedding invitations have been mailed out, guests will have the option to RSVP via our wedding website. We kindly ask that all RSVP's are submitted by August 1st.

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives everyone the chance to relax and enjoy the evening. Thank you for understanding!

Question

I have an allergy or dietary restriction, should I let you know?

Answer

Absolutely! We want to ensure that everyone enjoys their meal during our dinner reception. Upon RSVP'ing, please let us know that information so we can share it with our catering team.

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

Weekends can get busy downtown so please allow adequate time for parking. Book Tower Detroit provides 24/7 valet service right outside of the main entrance on Washington Boulevard. The valet fee is typically a $35 rate or $50/night for those staying overnight at Roost Detroit, the hotel located inside Book Tower. To use the valet, simply pull up to the valet lane on Washington Blvd. Someone will walk over to your driver-side door and assist you. Please be ready to share your phone number with them, as you'll both pay and request your car via your phone at the end of the night. Other than the valet, there are a number of parking garages, flat lots, and street parking options available nearby. These options will vary in price, many of which can be booked via the ParkWhiz or ParkDetroit apps.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Downtown is about a 20 minute drive and a $50 uber from the airport depending on time of day. Street parking is available but metered in most places. Once you are in the city, everywhere is walkable if you dress for the weather. Ubers tend to range around $15.

Question

What else should we do while we're in town?

Answer

Check out our 'Things To Do' tab for a list with tons of great options. We also suggest walking around and exploring, the city has so many great options.
