Matt and I met at work as part of an early career program in July of 2016... I was nervous for my first day at The Hartford and he was helping out with orientation since he was a year ahead in the program. I definitely caught Matt's eye, and we slowly developed a friendship. In the coming months we got to know each other through work happy hours, tailgates, and nights out in West Hartford Center. I was always drawn to his sense of humor and outgoing, friendly nature. It wasn't until March of 2017 that Matt finally worked up the courage to ask me out on a date! The connection was mutual and the conversation flowed along with the wine. We bonded over crazy Italian families and belted out Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande in the car ride home. Since that first date, life hasn't slowed down a bit for us! Time together has been filled with weekend getaways, weddings, family parties, and game nights with friends. You can always find us laughing together and trying not to take things too seriously. Eventually we moved in together and adopted a silly but mischievous pup named Mayer (named after the great John Mayer) who has stolen our hearts (and our shoes). We even decided to build a home together in South Windsor, CT, and found that trying to sell a house while designing a new one is a true relationship test! In March 2019 we moved into our new home, and shortly after Matt got down on one knee and made me the happiest girl in the world! We both feel so lucky to have found not only a partner, but a best friend. We always joke that we could be doing nothing together, and it's still the best day of our life. We look forward to many more of these days to come as our lives together officially start!

We are SO excited to take the next step in our lives together, and couldn't be more thrilled to have our friends and family be a part of the process.
