Drive the highest paved roadway in the United States, sitting at 12,183 feet. This road is 48 miles long & connects Estes Park to Grand Lake. Not everyone may feel comfortable driving on this road as there are many steep drop offs and switchbacks. Bring along warmer clothes for once you’re above the tree line. There are pull-offs everywhere for gorgeous views & trailheads aplenty.
A scenic drive through the Rocky Mountains, featuring spectacular views of valleys, waterfalls, streams, and snow capped mountain tops. Pull off for a trail or drive your whole way through. Highly recommend fueling up completely before beginning this drive!

RMNP is home to pine and spruce forests, glittering alpine lakes, and many mountain critters (big and small). There is a beautiful hiking trail for any level of experience. If you are planning to visit the park, review the link to understand the “timed entry reservation” needed to enter the park. This is necessary to gain access between the times of 9 am-2 pm. Certain trail access points may require timed entry reservations between the times of 9 am-6 pm. Do research ahead of time if you’re hoping to do a more popular hike!

The best ice cream, candy, fudge all in one place! We particularly love this spot because of its affiliation with “Buddy’s House” — a nonprofit for senior dogs! You may even run into Buddy himself (an old golden retriever/yellow lab)! He spends many of his days at the shop & wandering about the neighborhood, people watching. Buddy is well known by locals, and fawned over by tourists.
