In 2015, Mac transferred to UC Davis and met Heather at a prayer meeting for the church at Sister Kate and Brother Tony Villaneuva's house in Davis, CA. Although we were just friends, we both thought the other was HILARIOUS and we found we had the same humor. We didn't know it at the time but we were truly cut from the same vibe--dare I say SOULMATES??? Years go by and it's the peak of the COVID era in May 2021. Mac suddenly DMs Heather on Snapchat and Instagram wanting to catch up! Mac was in the Bay in Brentwood while Heather was going to school in LA. Our first date was visiting each other's Animal Crossing New Horizons islands while talking on Instagram audio, and we were vibing! (Special thanks to Mac’s friends for their emotional support during this time, especially Audrey, Lennon, and Marc). Shortly after, Mac replies to Heather's carefully crafted Snapchat selfie with "SHEEESH." Boldly, Heather asks if Mac is dating anyone, to which he replies, "No." After that, the rest was history and we started dating June 12, 2021. Aside from sharing so much laughter together and talking about sweet nothings, we found we share the same values, had similar life ambitions, and viewed the world in the same way. Since then, we grew up together and shared hobbies like watching anime, going to MANY concerts, and playing too much and being instigators, and found new passions together. After 4 years of dating on September 6, 2025, we decided to legalize spending the rest of our lives together. We can't wait to celebrate our special day with our closest friends and family!
