Erica met Mac on her first day of work at M3. They became good friends as their jobs depended on each other to help the office run smoothly. Through working together to set up Lobbyguard, pulling elaborate pranks on coworkers, sharing countless GIFS on Teams, staying unnecessarily late due to great conversations, and saving the building from burning down (did you know that stain-soaked rags left in a trashcan in direct sun causes spontaneous combustion?) their friendship started turning into something more, which caused quite the stir.

Erica asked Mac out to a dinner date at Provino's Italian Restaurant, followed by a shared milkshake at Steak n’ Shake. Provino’s continues to be a special place where they go for birthdays and anniversaries, but Erica no longer needs to restrain herself from smothering the rolls in garlic butter.

Mac and Erica have adventured throughout the southeastern United States from the mountains to the coast. They have road-tripped to the southernmost point of the continental US with Morrison, kayaked in the Gulf of Mexico, swam with dolphins in the Florida Keys, visited New England during the fall, experienced extreme weather at the summit of Mount Washington, backcountry camped in Yellowstone, and encountered a moose face-to-face in the Tetons. Mac bought a house, Erica bought a car; they both started new careers and welcomed Moxxi into the family. They have brought out the best in one another and look forward to a lifetime of adventures and happiness together!

As time went on, it became clear to both Erica and Mac that their relationship was built to last. One day in October, Mac suddenly had a realization... Erica made him happier than he had ever been, and he couldn't imagine life without her. It was time to stop thinking and start acting. So the next morning while Erica was at work, Mac went to her mother's house to ask for her hand. Erica's mom was overjoyed and happy to assist with Mac's plan for a surprise proposal. She found Erica's rings and got them sized, and Mac's mother helped him scout potential locations. Once the ring was in hand, Mac coordinated a family meet-up at Little Mulberry Park, where he and Erica went on their second date and truly began getting to know one another. After a short walk to the top of the hill with their mothers plus Morrison and Moxxi, he surprised her with the proposal and the ring. And she said yes!
