We met three years ago while helping my cousin and her husband move. Matt is best friends with my cousin Laura’s husband Dallin. We always knew who the other person was but it took time for us to finally go out together!

We went to dinner with Matt’s sister Cherie and her husband Cameron at Tokyo station where we’d had one of our first dates. On our way home we’d planned on looking at Christmas lights and ended up instead watching the fire department take care of a burning car! It was pretty crazy! We went back to my moms house and we were making hot chocolate when Matt told me he’d gotten us an ornament for our first Christmas together! We went into the living room where we had Christmas music playing and he pulled out the cutest glass ornament that said “Will you marry me?” He got down on one knee and pulled out a box with the ring and asked me to marry him! I said YES! And we were engaged! We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
