Patrick and Erica’s story began like most modern love stories—a swipe right on Hinge! They quickly started chatting and set up their first date: pizza and beer at Brixx. It was love at first slice! Patrick, ever the gentleman, held the door with his polo tucked in, while Erica looked beautiful in a sundress and her bright smile. The conversation flowed effortlessly, filled with giggles and laughs, and they could have stayed there all night if they weren’t eventually kicked out. Their connection grew quickly. More dates followed, and soon they introduced their dogs—Hank and Captain—who became inseparable, just like Erica and Patrick. They officially started dating in October 2023, but soon Erica received an incredible opportunity: her dream job. Patrick was unwavering in his support, encouraging her to follow her dreams, and Erica moved back to Pennsylvania to become an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at Wilkes University. Patrick was planning to visit, but Hurricane Helene had other plans. Stranded in Asheville with little communication, they realized just how much they couldn’t go without each other. By November, Patrick moved to Pennsylvania, quickly finding a new home as a volunteer firefighter and on the borough’s road crew. Labor Day weekend 2025 was spent visiting Patrick's family in Hilton Head Island, SC however, Patrick had a surprise in store. Patrick proposed on the deck of the Yacht Club where he has shared fond memories with his family overlooking the lighthouse that has become a staple in their relationship. After crying tears of happiness, Erica was even more surprised to see that her family had flown down for the weekend, making it a joyful celebration she’ll never forget! Now, Patrick and Erica are living out their dreams together in their home in Dallas, PA with their two dogs- Captain and Brixx- and they can’t wait to celebrate joining their lives forever with family and friends.
