Maboshe and Cassie met in Atlanta, Georgia, during a Thanksgiving gathering. Cassie's best friend and now matron of honor, invited Cassie to celebrate the holiday with her, her boyfriend and family. Cassie ran into difficulties, and was not sure if she would be able to make it over to Georgia for the holidays but Tidale insisted she find some way to come. After praying and moving some things around, Cassie was able to make the drive over from Tennessee where she resided. Over in Texas, Maboshe planned to drive to Atlanta, meeting with his family for the holidays. He met up with his good friend, Jordan, in Florida and drove up right in time for Thanksgiving. As the Thanksgiving festivities began and they all arrived to the hosts house, Maboshe saw faces he hadn't seen before, one being Cassie. He helped the ladies bring in food for dinner and greeted everyone. As the evening progressed all of the young people of the gathering enjoyed conversation together and asked questions to get to know each other. Maboshe noticed that Cassie was very likeminded to himself and observed the way she carried herself. Cassie soon learned that Maboshe was a pastor in Houston, Texas and also was familiar with many important things she was just learning. While on a walk with Naomi, Maboshe's sister, Cassie was asked about her story and relationship status. Naomi soon informed Maboshe that Cassie was single. After enjoying the meal and spending quality time with everyone, Maboshe asked Cassie if he could speak to her. He asked if she had a social media account in order to keep in touch but she replied that at the moment she didn't have social media, he then asked her for her number. Soon after exchanging numbers and days after thanksgiving, Maboshe realized he had jumped the gun and the journey was put on pause. They maintained a cordial and platonic relationship that, in hindsight, was the best thing for them. They were able to develop a beautiful friendship of authenticity and respect. Cassie was able to see what a respectable and outstanding man Maboshe was and truly cherished their friendship. After venturing into different endeavors which left dissatisfaction, Maboshe decided to take the risk and initiate pursuit of Cassie once again. Only to find that Cassie had also ventured into her own endeavors. Doors seemed closed for this relationship to progress, but God had another plan. The door was reopened and Maboshe and Cassie prayed and decided to start their story together. Since then, their love grew more and more as they managed a long distance relationship. Many hours of in depth conversation and visits from Texas to Tennessee, lead to a connection that was clearly divine. Soon they could not see themselves without each other in their lives. They felt like they were truly made for each other. After 6 months of very intentional courting, Maboshe asked Cassie to be his wife and she said yes! They are now in the wedding planning process and ask for many prayers as they prepare for a lifelong marriage.
