Senior year of high school, in the crisp fall of 2017, our paths crossed when Logan quietly took a seat behind Mabel in math class. When she noticed that Logan never quite got his homework in on time, she found herself sliding hers back for him to copy. She couldn’t explain why she did it—it just felt right, and soon it became an everyday thing. What began as shy glances and small exchanges slowly grew into something neither of us expected, but both felt deeply: the beginning of our love story. Before long, we were spending every afternoon together after school. Mabel cheered from the stands at his football games, and Logan went to his first Oliver Ames homecoming dance—with her by his side. As the years went on, we didn’t just fall in love… we grew up together. Side by side, we graduated high school, completed our bachelor’s degrees, celebrated every high, and supported each other through every low. We have built our relationship on trust, respect, understanding, and the joy of navigating life together—a love that has only grown stronger with time. We are so grateful for every step that has led us to this moment—eight years into our forever, and finally ready to celebrate our love and commitment with the people who mean the most to us. Surrounded by family and friends, we are overjoyed to begin this next chapter of our story together.
On our long-awaited trip to Yellowstone National Park, as the leaves were just starting to turn golden, Logan suggested we watch the sunrise over the rolling hills of Gardiner, Montana. The early morning air was a sharp and windy, around 40 degrees. Mabel was freezing of course, but Logan promised the view would be worth it, so she put her trust in him. We had expected the sun to rise at 7:19am, but it lingered just out of sight, slowly spilling light across the hills, fully visible just after 8:00am. Thats when Logan dropped to one knee, and through tears, asked the question we had both known was coming. For nearly eight years, we had built a life together, and in that moment, everything felt both monumental and natural, as if the universe had been waiting for this exact second. We held each other tight, overwhelmed by the love that had carried us here. Around us, the hills glowed gold, the wind softened, and for the first time that morning, the cold didn’t matter. In that moment we let the sunrise mark the beginning of the next chapter in our lives.
