We met at work when I was promoted to supervisor and was assigned to the cargo area in 2015. From that year on, we began interacting actively in the workplace. In 2021, I transferred to the same division as Jorge, and that’s when we became best friends. In 2024, we went together to a wine tasting event, and that outing marked the beginning of our love story. After approximately nine months of dating, we took a trip to Portugal, where Jorge surprised me in Albufeira after we climbed a cliff. He asked me to take a picture of the breathtaking view. When I finished taking the photo and turned around, Jorge was on one knee, holding a ring, and asked, “Mabel, will you marry me?” I couldn’t believe it—I was in shock. After a few seconds, I hugged him and said, “YES!” Portugal will always be a special destination for us.
