FAQs

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

If you have the means, of course! Just keep in mind there's lots of public transportation in Seattle. There's even light rail next to the airport and drops you in the middle of the city!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes! We love your little ones and we'd be happy to see them. There's very limited seating but there will be an area for the kids to romp and play. The main cafe features a book store and there is even a little outdoor area that could be great for little ones (pending weather).

Question

When should I RSVP by? Can I RSVP online or send it by mail?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 1st, 2023. You will be receiving your invitation by mail, we ask you mail your RSVP back to us as there will not be an online option to RSVP.

Question

What is the address for the ceremony and reception? Is it wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held at Ada's (425 15th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112). Our venue is wheelchair accessible! The entrance to the main cafe has a set of stairs, but to the left of the building is a small gate and outside patio with a ramp into the building. The inside of the venue is cozy but is one level and bathrooms are easily accessible.

Question

Will there be parking?

Answer

Our wedding is on a Sunday, so street parking is free! Parking can be tricky but there is a free lot at the Key Bank down the street. We highly recommend riding public transportation (as there is a well developed bus system) or using a ride-sharing app like Lyft or Uber.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will take place indoors at Ada's. There is a small outdoor area if people would like fresh air. The walk to the after party is also short. Weather is unpredictable but it's usually quite nice out in early October.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We recommend a "smart casual" or "cocktail" style of dress. However, wear whatever makes you feel good and snazzy. We kindly ask you do not wear colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, blushes, creams, etc.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Our venue is small so your invitation will indicate whether you will be able to bring a guest. Thanks for understanding!

Question

What type of food will be served at the wedding?

Answer

We're still working on a menu but we'll be offering seasonal vegan, vegetarian, and meat options.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Your first drinks are on us! After that we will be hosting a cash bar. Make sure to tip your bartenders ;)

Question

Should we bring a gift?

Answer

Your presence is present enough (but we'll never turn down a gift)! Feel free to scope out our registry. Gifts can be mailed to our home and we will have a location to leave gifts at the wedding.

Question

What if I can't make it?

Answer

We completely understand and you'll be missed! Please RSVP "no" as soon as you're able to so we can best anticipate numbers.

Question

What health and safety measures will be taken?

Answer

We require that all attendees be up to date on COVID immunizations (if eligible) to protect our immunocompromised loved ones. Individuals are free to wear masks but are not required to.
