Dearest family and friends, What a year it has been! We hope you all have remained happy and healthy. Initially, when we postponed our wedding from June 2020 to September 2021, we had hoped that by this time, we would have returned to much of what we knew as “normal” life with the pandemic securely in our rearview mirrors. Throughout this planning process, the safety of our loved ones has been our number one priority. Though there is so much that has begun to improve, we still feel that some of our concerns remain the same. Because of this continued uncertainty, we decided to make some changes to our wedding plans. In June, we will be having a ceremony in our backyard with our immediate family members. Kindly accept our apologies that we will not be able to celebrate with you in person on our wedding day. Please know we will be thinking of you and all of our loved ones, near and far. We are thrilled to move forward into this next chapter of our lives and we are so looking forward to celebrating with you in the future! All of our love, Megan & Kait
In light of what is happening worldwide due to COVID-19, we've made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding that was set for June 6th, 2020. Our new wedding date is TBD We look forward to celebrating with all of our friends and family once this passes. Sending our warmest wishes of wellness to you and your loved ones. Stay healthy and safe! Love, Megan and Kait
The Way We Met October 2015 Megan was a newly minted college grad and began applying for a big girl job. She happily accepted an offer as a residential services case manager. Megan remembers a few things about her first week on the job: 1) meeting the other staff and feeling relieved because there was another really awesome person in the office, named Kait, who she clicked with right off the bat; and 2) carrying out somewhat mischievous acts to ensure she would share the same office as said really awesome person (read: may have voiced concerns about certain office equipment not working and suggested moving to another office to "find" a working computer and phone). Over the next year, Kait and Megan established a strong friendship built on mutual respect, admiration, and caffeine. Eventually, they came to the realization that their connection was built on love (and as their friends tell it, Megan and Kait were the last to know). The last few years brought new experiences, so much growth, and so many milestones... moving into their first apartment, starting new jobs, expanding their family with not one but two cat adoptions, an engagement, and most recently, the journey to purchasing their first home. Megan and Kait have built a life together that they love. They are even still working together (though now they have their own offices) and now, more than ever, they're looking forward to all that is to come and to giving new meaning to the term "Work Wife." The Way We Got Engaged February 2019 Now that's a story for another day...
