After a cozy and rainy Saturday, the rain clouds parted, revealing a crisp Sunday morning, Omar kept his promise of a weekend adventure. Joined by our friends, Matt and Brian, we embarked on a leisurely stroll through North Central Park. Eventually, our journey led us to the tranquil Jacqueline Kennedy Reservoir, where the city skyline painted a picturesque backdrop. It was there, amidst the serenity of the water and the bustling city in the background, where Omar pulled out a small notebook with the words "Remember when...," a phrase that held countless memories and experiences between us, written across the cover. Each turn of the page taking us back to moments of laughter, love, and growth since we first crossed paths in 2011. But it was the final page that brought tears to our eyes: "Remember when...WE GOT MARRIED." As the world around us seemed to pause, Omar got down on one knee, opening a box holding the most beautiful ring. With an overwhelming “yes!” the strangers around us who had become witnesses to our love story cheered with applause. Thanks to our wonderful friends Matt and Brian, who Omar “hired” to capture every moment, we now have photo and video memories to cherish for a lifetime. And so, we concluded our perfect day with a celebration. The four of us indulged in an evening of pasta, wine, and dancing, culminating in a toast under the Manhattan stars on Matt's East Village rooftop. It was truly the perfect day, marking the beginning of our new journey together.
