we're getting married

Our love story started on the second week in August 2020 when Emily moved into a 'professional' house share in Chester. Emily and her mum were unpacking in her new bedroom when a stranger who turned out to be the person staying in the room next door popped his head round the corner, introduced himself as he had also just moved in and asked if we would like some help. Lisa and Emily politely declined but then closed the door and had a giggle as we both knew what each other was thinking. We were both beginning new chapters in our lives in a new home and were both unsure what the future held, little did we know it was right in front of us. Four months later, after many late nights of being the last housemates up watching 'love on the spectrum' and talking until the early hours we finally had our first date. On Christmas Eve Eve when Ryan took Emily to La Fatoria in Chester and we exchanged Christmas Gifts. In Ryan's words 'that's when I learned that some things are simply worth the wait'. It will come as no surprise that Ryan proposed to Emily with an Adele song playing in the background, but what did come as a surprise is that he managed to arrange a surprise sunset boat trip for just the two of them without Emily finding out. When it came to setting a date for our special day, it turned out to be pure coincidence our Wedding Day has fallen on the second week in August, taking us back to the exact time we met 5 years ago. Over those five years, we have gone from being strangers to housemates, to flatmates, to building a first home together. Love was right there on our own doorstep all along; and in each other we have found a place that feels like home.
