Pensacola Lighthouse & Maritime Museum

(FREE) Climb to the top of the lighthouse for stunning views of the Gulf Coast and learn about its history in the adjacent museum. o This is a worthwhile thrill and makes for great photos! Do not go near the closing time of the base/museum; they stop climbing before closing hours.

Fort Pickens

(FREE) ($25/per vehicle entrance into FL State Park). Visit this historical fort located on Santa Rosa Island. Views along the Emerald Coast into the bay and take a guided/unguided tour to learn about its role in American history. o Old water forts, prison cells, walk around creepy tunnels and lose your sense of direction when exiting. Each hurricane impacts this historical fort; it may be gone one day. This adventure could take up to four hours, depending upon the trial taken.
