“I have found the one whom my soul loves”

We were church friends for many years, but never took interest in each other until Seth’s family moved back to Alabama a few years ago. He messaged me and we texted for a week or so until he tried to FaceTime me. I was so nervous and never answered! So, one Wednesday he just showed up at my church (where we first met) insisting that he “had to see me somehow.” Ironically, we have been long distance for the majority of our relationship and have since then, spent many hours on FaceTime!

A day I will never forget! One evening while I was visiting him in Connecticut, Seth took me out to dinner and I insisted on taking him to a beach that his family and I had found earlier that day (unaware that he had planned to propose a few blocks from the restaurant we were at, LOL change of plans!) So, we made our way to the beach - while Carla is racing to beat us there and get in position to photograph the proposal. We finally got there, walked out to the beach and Seth asks me to show him the shells I was looking at earlier. Meanwhile, that boy was shaking like a leaf! I knew it was cold, but not enough to be shivering like that. I just assumed he should’ve worn a thicker jacket, HAHA! I bend down to start showing him the seashells and before I knew it, he was down on one knee. Of course, I thought he was teasing me so I told him to get up!!! (We had went to a ring store the day before and didn’t find anything so I just KNEW he didn’t have a ring…) I genuinely didn’t believe it was real until he opened the ring box, and then I knew. Immediate tears, and I’m definitely not a crier. Long story short, it was the best day of my life so far. That sweet boy pulled off the surprise of a lifetime and more importantly, I left that beach engaged to the man of my dreams. I can’t wait for this wedding!
