The average temperature in Leland in September for a typical day is a high of 72°F. We do encourage our guests to bring layering pieces as it may be more chilly during the evening.
"Give to me your leather, take from me my lace" If you know us you know how much we love to dress up! If you want to lean into the theme we would love to see it, but no worries if that's not your jam. We're ringing in Friday the 13th the best way we know how- channeling one of our favorite mystical icons... Stevie Nicks! Think flowing maxi dresses, fringe vests, and bell-bottom pants paired with lace, leather and velvet. Opt for earthy tones with pops of rich jewel tones and metallics.
Formal long dresses, jumpsuits and suits. There will be grass and opportunities for enchanting lake side strolls so perhaps avoid stilettos! Warm, sun-kissed tones and colors of the late summer harvest like golden wheat, light blue, burgundy and earthy greens. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear floral boutonnieres, earthy-toned suits or vests paired with relaxed linen trousers, and woodland-inspired ties or bowties. Feel free to express your individual style and creativity, we adore each and everyone's personal style!!
If your invitation says “and Guest,” or a date is named on your invitation, then yes, if not, we unfortunately cannot accommodate a plus one.
The Old Art Building is a short walking distance from both of the wedding hotels!
Ridesharing is not readily available in Northern Michigan, so we highly recommend renting a car or pre-booking a taxi service from the airport if you are flying. There are taxi services available to book transportation from the airport (information here: https://tvcairport.com/car-rentals-taxis-limos-shuttles-cherry-capital-airport/) If you plan on exploring the area, we recommend renting a car for the weekend.
Feel free to reach out to us or our wedding planner, Kelsey, at kelsey@foxandfernevents.com, for any additional questions!
