Blake initially caught my eye while walking around on campus, because he reminded me of my celebrity childhood crush. After that, I started seeing him everywhere and he opened a few doors for me on several occasions (though he doesn't remember it). One day, there was a man in a trench coat asking for money at a crosswalk. I noticed Blake was walking nearby and said, "I don't have any, but that guy looks like he might!", which got him to join the conversation. We officially exchanged names and he ended up walking me to class. He didn't know it at the time, but I already knew his name and might have sent a picture of him to my mom from a UAB game. Later that week, I showed up late to a party and Blake asked me to dance. As it turned out, I had actually shown up to his induction fraternity party without knowing it. We ended up exchanging phone numbers and spent the next few weeks getting to know each other. Blake was shy in the beginning and I ended up doing a lot of the talking at first, but those around us can attest to how inseparable we've been since that day.
We love Disney! It's always been our favorite place to go together. A few years ago, I mentioned loving the Disney proposals in front of Cinderella's castle and he never forgot it. We took a last minute trip to Disney with his family earlier this year. On our 2nd day, he got down on one knee in the Magic Kingdom and proposed to me in front of the castle. He had told me he wouldn't propose until the end of the summer, so I had no idea it would happen that day. I was so excited, I couldn't even wait for him to put the ring on my finger and ended up grabbing it right out of the box! We then spent the most magical day together and ended it at The Melting Pot in our Disney clothes, surrounded by chocolate fondue and champagne. (If you look back at the proposal video, you can see the box in his back pocket and him struggling to get it out!)
