FAQs

Question

When do you need our RSVP?

Answer

As soon as you know you’ll be there, let us know — it just adds to our excitement! Formal invitations will go out in early November 2025, and we kindly ask that all RSVPs are in by February 1, 2026.

Question

What’s the vibe for attire?

Answer

Semi-formal attire: suits, dresses, or cocktail looks are all welcome. For men, a button-down (jacket optional) is totally fine. Don’t be uncomfy, but as TLC taught all millennials… we don’t want no scrubs. We’re going to show our kids these photos one day, and we don’t want them learning what a Canadian tuxedo is through our wedding album.

Question

When should I actually show up so I’m not awkwardly early or embarrassingly late?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 7. The venue is easy to get to, and arriving 10–15 minutes early is perfect (and if you’re earlier, don’t worry — you won’t feel awkward). Just don’t cut it too close — this is one thing that won’t be on Florida time.

Question

Do I get a plus-one, or is this a solo mission?

Answer

If your formal invitation includes a guest, then yes, bring your plus-one! If not, we’d still love for you to come solo — you’ll have built-in friends, and we promise the dance floor will keep you busy.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kiddos, but this will be an adults-only celebration. We know that’s not an easy ask, and we’re so grateful for the extra effort it takes to celebrate with us. Take the night off, enjoy some drinks, and let loose — you’ve earned it!

Question

What if I can’t eat XYZ — should I let you know?

Answer

Yes, please! Let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP, and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of.

Question

Do you two have a registry, or should we just buy you tequila shots?

Answer

Our registry lives here on the site under the If You Insist List. But honestly, your presence is the greatest present. But yes… tequila is always welcome.

Question

What’s the weather like in March in Venice?

Answer

Expect Florida spring vibes: usually sunny, highs in the 70s, and potential for cooler evenings in the 60s. Pack layers for the evenings, something breezy for the day, and of course — sunscreen. (No guarantees on humidity hair, though… that’s between you and Mother Nature.)

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors at Chapel Creek under the big Florida sky. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of covered space if Mother Nature throws us a curveball — the party goes on rain or shine.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Chapel Creek has covered spaces and a rain plan, so the celebration goes on no matter what. Maybe it could be like rain on your wedding day? Wouldn’t that be ironic?

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

We’ve got all the airport info (and tips on getting to Venice) in the Travel section of this site — check it out there!

Question

Where’s everyone staying (and can I walk back after a few drinks)?

Answer

The hotels we’ve recommended here on the site are all within a max. 15-minute drive of the venue. So while walking home isn’t really an option, it’s an easy Uber ride at the end of the night. We’ll also be hosting an after-party at the house on the property — Ubers can be picked up from there too if you’re not driving.

Question

Do I drive, Uber, or hitch a ride on a dolphin?

Answer

Parking is available right at Chapel Creek, and Uber/Lyft are easy from the hotels or anywhere else you’re staying. After the reception, Ubers can also pick you up from the house on the property where the after-party will be. Unfortunately, dolphin rides aren’t included in the weekend package (we asked).

Question

Anything else fun happening besides the wedding itself?

Answer

Yep! On Friday night we’ll be at Sharky’s on the Pier from 7–9 for sunset drinks. Totally casual, come-as-you-are. Then on Sunday we’re planning a beach day — think sun, sand, and soaking up those Florida vibes before everyone heads home. All the details are on this site under “Schedule.”

Question

What should we do with free time in Venice?

Answer

Beaches, sunsets, ice cream, oh my. We’ve rounded up our favorite local spots and activities in the Things to Do section of this site — check it out for ideas between events.

Question

I have another question that’s not listed here — what do I do?

Answer

Reach out to us anytime! Text, call, email, carrier pigeon… whatever works. We’ll get you sorted.
