Bear Mountain
If you're driving south on Sunday, you might pass Bear Mountain State Park on the way. Why not stop in and take a walk while you're there? There are walks and hikes for people of all abilities, including a cute paved path around Hessian Lake at the foot of the mountain. They also have a zoo and carousel within the park, and the Bear Mountain Inn has a great restaurant with beautiful views (and original links from Washington's Revolutionary War chain across the Hudson next to the fireplace)!
Sugar Loaf Arts And Crafts Village
This is an adorable little hamlet filled with cute little stores selling jewelry, home goods, books, soaps, and all sorts of other things.
