We walked the same hallways in high school. We shared some of the same friends. We were in the same places, at the same time. And still… we never met. At the time, it felt like nothing. But now we see it differently. God was writing a story we didn’t yet understand. He was preparing our hearts separately before bringing them together at exactly the right moment. When we finally did meet, something felt steady. Safe. Familiar in a way that’s hard to explain. I’m the outgoing one, expressive, sarcastic, quick to laugh, and quick to speak. He’s quieter, thoughtful, steady, and the kind of funny that sneaks up on you. Where I am loud, he is calm. Where I am quick, he is patient. But at our core, we are the same where it matters most. We both love deeply. We both protect fiercely. And we both desire a life rooted in faith, family, and Christ. Over the last few years, God has shown us what it means to choose one another intentionally, to pray together, to grow together, to lean on Him in every season. What we have isn’t just a relationship; it’s a foundation built on something far greater than ourselves. Then, 363 days after we started dating, he asked me to spend forever with him, surrounded by some of the most important people in our lives. The same people who have prayed for us, supported us, and shaped us into who we are. It was sacred. It was overwhelming. It was everything. Marriage, to us, is more than a celebration. It is a covenant before God. It is the promise to love through every season, the joyful ones and the refining ones. It is choosing each other daily, with Christ at the center. Family means everything to us. The love, the prayers, the guidance, the example, it has all led us here. And we cannot imagine beginning this next chapter without the people who have walked alongside us. What once looked like two teenagers whose paths never crossed, has become a testimony of God’s faithfulness and perfect timing. We are so grateful. We are so expectant. And we cannot wait to stand before God and our loved ones and say “I do.” Thank you for being part of the story He is still writing.
