We're Getting Married

Her side of the story: So I reacted to a video of Derrick dancing online. In the video he was at Shogun with his folks (shoutout to Ace 😇 and Heed). They told the restaurant it was Derrick’s birthday. They put a hat on him dropped a beat and he started grooving lol Me reacting to the video Derrick sends me a message “you like my moves?” 😆 This started a banter of how he was professionally trained, I would embarrass him if my moves weren’t up to par , and how he could teach me a few things. He asked for my number to you know give me dancing lessons lol We had our first date that Saturday at Rosalitas and we were locked in 8/14/2021. Life has given us some great times and some difficult times but through it all Derrick has maintained a posture of hope, faith, patience, and love. I can’t wait to be Mrs Leonard! LL Cool Sha loading 😅 His side of the story: Imagine a guy logging on a dating site after recovering from a breakup a few years ago. After years of terrible dating, missteps and blaming yourself. This guy finds the courage to give it all another try. Truthfully he never thought he’d get anywhere. He had started to believe he was just going to be alone. Maybe a couple weeks later a beautiful young lady left a reaction on the video of him dancing that he posted. After noticing the reaction he quickly comes up with a response about being classically trained in dance and how he gets invited to a lot of very fancy parties. The conversation continued for many a moon. Until he eventually asked for her number. August 12, 2021. He texted her for the first time. Instant sparks! They talked for hours on end until their texting fingers were sore. Two days later they met in person for the first time at the majestic Rosalita's Catina. A couple of roller coaster years later they got engaged and all was right with the world.
