Question

WILL THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

Answer

The wedding and reception will take place indoors. Wedding Ceremony will be held at First Baptist Church of Ashland located at 800 Thompson Street, Ashland, VA 23005. The Reception will be held at ACCA Shriner located at 1712 Bellevue Ave, Richmond, VA 23227. Note: The distance between the locations is approximately 15 miles (25 minutes).

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire.

ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?

Answer

Yes, children are allowed to attend both, our wedding ceremony and reception.

CAN I BRING A GUEST?

Answer

Our wedding will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If your formal invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, we have reserved two seats in your honor, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

WHEN IS THE RSVP DEADLINE? HOW DO I RSVP?

Answer

ANSWER June 1, 2021 is the deadline for RSVP. We will accept RSVP two ways: 1.) Here on Zola's website under "RSVP" (Preferred). 2.) Response card included in the formal invite.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE WEDDING CEREMONY?

Answer

After the ceremony, guests will head to ACCA Shriner where the reception will be held and get started mingling and enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. The bride and groom will use this time to take formal photos with the bridal party and family.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Answer

We encourage you to arrive an hour early to ensure a timely commencement of the ceremony.

CAN I TAKE AND POST PICTURES OF THE WEDDING AND/OR RECEPTION ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Answer

We are not in favor of guest posting pictures of our ceremony on social media. With that in mind, we will respectfully request all guests to turn off cell phones and cameras during the ceremony.

WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED TO/FROM THE WEDDING AND/OR HOTEL?

Answer

There will be no courtesy transportation provided. Guests are responsible for providing their own transportation. There are alternative accessible options available (i.e. Hotel Shuttles, Uber, Lyft, etc.)

WHAT IF I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?

Question

In light of the Coronavirus, how will we ensure a safe celebration?

Answer

First, we are encouraging everyone to be considerate, stay home if you are infected, or if you not feeling well. Our safety precautions include, but are not limited to: Masks must be worn at all times! There are situations in which a face covering may be temporarily removed, such as when eating or drinking. Hand Hygiene Stations will be set-up. In lieu of having guests self-serve, the catering company will serve the guests.
