The power of the Internet brought Lynn and Ryan together over nine years ago. Both of them were interested in dating, but with school and careers keeping them busy, they each decided to try out online dating. One fateful day, they happened to find each other through a dating app and immediately hit it off. Ryan quickly invited Lynn out on a first date because she seemed almost too good to be true - brilliance, beauty, and kindness wrapped up in one person? He had to meet her. Ryan picked a sweet little Italian restaurant in Encinitas for their first date. They were both nervous, but the conversation flowed easily. Lynn decided to be adventurous and chose a seafood pasta dish which she never had before (not realizing how messy it was). As Lynn tried her hardest not to get her mussel shells and tomato sauce everywhere, Ryan was mesmerized by her humor and intelligence. Lynn loved Ryan’s stories of his family and their close relationships, as this was also something that she also shared. She knew he was special (and very handsome) and definitely wanted to spend more time getting to know him. The first date was a huge success. At the end of the night, Ryan walked Lynn to her car, where they shared their first kiss and they both felt fireworks! Walking back to his car with a big smile on his face, Ryan was on top of the world and couldn’t wait to ask Lynn out on a second date. Since then, Ryan & Lynn’s amazing dating journey has spanned nine years. During their relationship, they have traveled the world together, navigated periods of long distance dating, and made beautiful memories together. Through it all, one thing has remained true…even though distance and life’s circumstances created unique challenges for their relationship, Ryan and Lynn always found that their love for each other conquered it all.
