Have you paid for VISITAX?
Answer
As of April 1, 2021, all international visitors to the state of Quintana Roo in Mexico should pay a tourism tax. Please be sure you pay for this and have proof of payment. It is about $13.50/person. The official site link is here, https://www.visitax.gob.mx/sitio/ There are tons of scam links so please be careful. You can also wait until you arrive at the airport to as well.

How are customs once you arrive in Mexico?
Answer
Bring your patience! We will be traveling on a holiday weekend. Lately the wait times have been anywhere from 2-3 hours to get through customs during peak arrival times. There are electronic machine custom options where you don't receive a stamp on your passport but I have heard this can be faster sometimes.

Is there travel to and from the airport?
Answer
After looking into travel to and from the airport, we have decided to just provide everyone with other’s travel information to coordinate amongst the group. I have sent an email with the current flight information for everyone, that has provided it, so we can begin grouping people together for a van. You can book through Majestic Elegance website https://www.majestic-resorts.com/en/go-majestic/transfers or you can text their WhatsApp number +52.998.734.9887 to set up travel to and from the airport.

A few extras to consider bringing to Mexico: Pool Floaties are allowed Insulated Mugs - for your frozen drinks on the beach Bluetooth speaker Sunscreen Bug Spray Cash for tips for wait staff & room cleaning - last time in Mexico I brought $300 and it was more than enough

We are trying to give everyone an opportunity to celebrate with us! For those who are unable to attend our wedding in Mexico, we wanted a little get together for out-of-state family & friends and kiddos. We will probably do a cake cutting but no ceremony. You don't have to attend both, we understand it's a lot.
