We escaped winter and headed to Clearwater Beach, FL for a long weekend. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t looking too great there either. The day we landed was to be our only warm and sunny day, so we packed as much stuff in as possible. We spent time by the pool, caught the sunset over the ocean, and had a lovely dinner at an Italian restaurant. After dinner, we decided to go for a late night walk on the beach. Next to the ocean under the moonlight, Chris got down on one knee and proposed! He said he couldn’t believe I didn’t see the ring box in his back pocket on our walk to dinner (I didn’t at all!) We spent the rest of the night celebrating together at our hotel’s rooftop bar. It was definitely a trip we will never forget. 💙

We have been friends a very long time! Chris’s birthday is April 13th, and mine is April 15th. Throughout our friendship (even pre-dating) we always referred to April 14th as “Lynn and Chris day.” We thought there was no better day to make it official and tie the knot. ☺️
