HIS SIDE: I remember the first time I saw Lynn and what that felt like. And I just knew at that moment that I was going to marry her. People always get asked what they did on their first date together, we are pretty lucky because for us it was simple, we basically planned our wedding. And since that first date, we have been making memories and laughing nonstop building for life together. HER TAKE: I remember how intentional we were every step of our relationship. I remember how we shared everything and bonded over all things, from 90’s tv classics to our love for God and our family. I remember when Chris asked me to be his girlfriend and told me he “loved me”. I asked him if I could have a few days to pray because I knew this “yes” would be a start to our forever and we wanted God’s blessings. About three days later, having felt peace, I said yes to being his girlfriend. We laugh now that he was kept in suspense for three days but it was worth the confirmation we received. The Proposal Our next “yes” to each other was on January 27, 2021, when Chris proposed. He had been trying to surprise me that entire day (to no avail lol) from dinner with my family, dinner together, long walks (at my favorite area) with heart-shaped bushes (I know- the sweetest). I mean the poor guy tried everything; he created so many beautiful moments but since I had suspected it was happening, he wanted to wait until I was caught off guard. Finally, he found a quiet moment to do it when we were alone at the Airbnb we were staying at; it was perfect. Just a beautiful intimate moment, enhanced by all the other attempts that day, making it triple special. We celebrated over some of my favorites- ice cream and lemonade; which is now a tradition of ours. I’m so excited for our next biggest "yes”, our commitment on May 21, 2022, to continue to walk together and invest in our happily ever after.
