Blake and Emily met through mutual friends at church; they started out as just friends, but the more time they spent together, the more they discovered what they had in common. From being big Coug fans to wanting to raise a family in Spokane, the two bonded over their love for sports and the city they call home. The two also share a love for their faith and a passion for living as Christ did. Conversations about the gospel and Christ's teachings have filled hours upon hours of their time together. Their almost 3-year-long love story has been filled with long-distance, football games, more than enough rounds of Monopoly, and lots of laughs. The two are so excited to be sealed together before our Heavenly Father, and they can't wait to share their start to eternity together with you!
Blake and Emily have spent many many hours battling it out in a Monopoly game. The game never got old, and brought out a true (but healthy) competitive spirit in them both. One night, Blake's family gathered around the table to play a game of Monopoly together. Emily's first role was a 7, which any avid Monopoly player will know leads you to a Chance card. When Emily picked up her Chance card, it read "Advance token to luxury tax and receive a diamond ring from Blake". Blake got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, to which she answered, "Of course". Emily was amazed at the creativity of Blake to think to use their favorite board game to start their future together, and it couldn't have gone any better!
We enjoyed perfect fall weather for our even more perfect wedding day. While we missed so many of you, we were glad to be able to be married civilly on October 17, 2020 despite the crazy times we are living it. From beautiful florals to the moment we said "I do", we couldn't have imagined that the day would turn out as great as it did. This website is littered with pictures from that day, and we hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we do!
