How We Met

I was having a girl's night with a few of my best friends, when my friend Josh called to say he was in the area and wanted to know if he could come over and bring his friend. So I let them come crash our girl's night and in walks Josh with his best friend Collin. By the end of the night Collin had my number and we went on our first date about a week after that. Here we are 8 years later!

The Proposal

On December 5, 2020, Collin woke me up before sunrise and asked if we could go check something off our bucket list of adventures that we want to do together. Our bucket list is full of some big adventures like travel and get married, but also little ones like watching the sunrise together. Surprisingly, in those 7 years together we hadn't marked watch a sunrise together off our list, so that's what we did that morning. Collin didn't even let me get dressed, so we left in a hurry in our pajamas. We went to a nearby look out point by his house with a beautiful view. We had a new tripod that we bought and hadn't used, so he set that up and said we should test it out by taking some pictures of the sunset. He asked me to get in the frame and look towards the sunset so that he could make sure the settings looked good. When I turned around to smile for a picture, Collin was on one knee with the biggest surprise I have ever experienced (he can never surprise me, I ask too many questions). So we had that private moment to ourselves and it was perfect, pajamas and all!
