We met through the HBC Cycling Team. My sister Alaina convinced me to join the team my senior year of high school (Fall 2023). I knew who Lucas was but didn't really interact with him until the next summer at a mtn bike race where he got my number. We started going on bike rides together and getting to know each other, and then he asked me out to dinner. I turned him down. If it hadn't been for his famous line "my offer will always stand" then this might not be happening! I ended up agreeing to go to dinner a week later, and then a few months later we started dating! We've been together ever since and knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.
