Grand Haven
There are several great beach towns along Lake Michigan and Grand Haven is one of them. South Haven, Holland and Saugatuck are a few others. These towns have beautiful beaches where you can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, volleyball, as well as fishing charters and boat, bike, dune buggy and other sport rentals. There are lighthouses, boutiques and breweries to enjoy as well.
Michigan State University
MSU's beautiful campus is within a 5 minute drive of the Courtyard Marriott and has great restaurants and bars on Grand River Ave.
Comerica Park
The Tigers are in town with home games against the Texans and Nationals June 25-30 for those baseball enthusiasts who'd enjoy a game at Comerica Park in downtown Detroit.
Lansing Lugnuts
The Lansing Lugnuts are a local minor league baseball team as another option for baseball fans. There are several restaurants and bars near the stadium as well.
