It's Time to make it official!

Lynden and I met at Red River, Our mutual friend, Cole wanted us to meet. My first thought of Lynden was, “Is she single?” My second thought, “Am I even old enough for this girl?” Turns out she was and I wasn’t. Well.... not for long... As that night came to a close we said our goodbyes & headed home. On the car ride home, Lynden texted Cole giving him the thumbs up emoji about me... and that’s when it began. We started hanging out over time more and more, until one day I said “you know what, I want to date you”

Lynden & I started planning a trip, spur of the moment in late October, 2018. I suggested New York because I knew I wanted to ask her to marry me soon, & where better than New York in December? This gave me a little over a month to shop for a ring, buy the ring, have it sized & ask for permission of her parents. Over the next week I went to 5 different jewelers. At the end of the week, I went back to the 1st one I went to, back to the first ring I picked out & bought it without hesitation. December 8th, 2018 the whole day (& previous day) I had the ring in a side pocket of my jacket, we actually took a picture together outside grand central station & I remember laughing to myself that her face was on the ring! We go to dinner the night of the 8th & head to Central Park to go ice skating. We got there & got our skates on & luckily she said I need to use the bathroom, so I decided this is the time to plan with the staff. So while she was using the bathroom, I found one of the workers in the men’s bathroom & said “I need your HELP!” Explained the situation & the time crunch I was currently in. He said follow me. I did, & the staff said ok do it right at this time, we will be ready & signal to you we are. I run back to the bathroom & make it look like I’m walking out, & she walked out at the same time. So we make our way to the ice & we have about 5 minutes until the staff will be ready. We begin skating & as we are going around, they have the middle of the ice coned off & the staff keeps yelling at people “get out of the center” & I get the signal from the staff & I skate to the middle & tried to make it appear as if I was stuck, & Lynden realizes & she began to yell at me “you’re gonna get us kicked out get out of there!” I said “no come here I need help” as she skates up to me I get on my knee & ask her if she would marry me! I was so happy & nervous everything I planned to say went out of my head! But she said YES!
