Once upon a time best friends fell in love...

We met in Grand Rapids, MI where we both attended as students of Gerald R. Ford Job Corps. Within an instant we made an imprint on each others souls & a life long friendship & love affair began. Though life did not align for us to be together right away, we never stayed apart and always kept in touch over the years. In July 2007, Nathan was honored to be the "God Father" of Destiny's first born Des'Arè, who he has raised since birth. In January 2010 we welcomed our first son Dorieyn, followed by Adonis in November 2012. Destiny always played a significant role in Nathan's children's lives as well. Eventually our families blended in harmony and we welcomed our last addition in love, Na'Ro, in July 2024. 21 years to the day we first met we will upgrade our commitments to one another as best friends, parents & partners to become husband and wife. "Who wants a perfect love story anyway"...

On the Destiny’s 35th birthday Nathan proposed at their fav Mexican spot “La Fiesta” in Chicago, with a ring she said she loved a few months earlier in a jewelry store. Her mom, and their kids were in attendance. It was a beautiful day!

With excitement we celebrated the announcement our marriage during an enchanted evening with close family and friends at our fav seafood spot, Fishbones in Detroit, MI. Over a private dinner and drinks we shared laughs and love that will last a lifetime.

After enjoying our engagement celebration, we enjoyed each other in a luxury AirBNB downtown Detroit. We found out shortly after that we truly did make a life long memory for that weekend, and had a baby on the way. Our original wedding plans were put on hold and we had a healthy baby boy 7-15-24. He's here, he's perfect and he is a lifelong symbol of the magic we create as 1. We were blessed with this delay because it allowed us an opportunity to find the perfect venue in our home city/state, we can't wait to show you all why the wait is worth it!
