It all started with a simple message that sparked something special. It was a Friday evening at the end of April. Our Spanish and English were both so-so — but somehow, we managed to understand each other perfectly. Our first date was anything but traditional: we took a long walk, got hungry, grabbed some burgers, and ate in Prospect Park. Neither of us wanted the night to end, so we found a cozy neighborhood bar for one last cocktail. Who would’ve thought that would be the start of everything? Since that night, we’ve had our share of ups and downs moments of distance, uncertainty, and learning each other’s worlds but somehow, we were never apart for long. In 2024, we took a leap of faith and moved in together and now, here we are, getting ready to tie the knot. Of course, there was one very important test: Cookie, the princess of the house. Thankfully, she gave her royal approval right away — and now she’s officially a daddy’s girl. Watching the two of them together always makes us smile. We’ve grown, we’ve laughed, we’ve learned and through it all, we’ve chosen each other, again and again. We can’t wait to keep building this beautiful life together. We’re so excited to celebrate our love with all of you on August 1st! Nuestra Historia Era un viernes por la noche, a finales de abril. Nuestro español e inglés eran más o menos — pero, de alguna manera, logramos entendernos a la perfección. Nuestra primera cita fue todo menos tradicional: dimos un largo paseo, nos dio hambre, compramos unas hamburguesas y las comimos en Prospect Park. Ninguno de los dos quería que la noche terminara, así que encontramos un bar acogedor del vecindario para tomar un último cóctel. ¿Quién hubiera pensado que esa noche sería el comienzo de todo? Desde entonces, hemos tenido nuestros altibajos — momentos de distancia, incertidumbre y de aprender el mundo del otro — pero, de alguna forma, nunca pudimos estar separados por mucho tiempo. En 2024 dimos un salto de fe y decidimos mudarnos juntos… y ahora, aquí estamos, preparándonos para dar el gran paso. Claro que había una prueba muy importante: Cookie, la princesa de la casa. Por suerte, ella dio su aprobación real de inmediato — y ahora es oficialmente una chica de papá y la reina de la casa claramente. Hemos crecido, reído y aprendido mucho. Y a lo largo de todo este tiempo, nos hemos elegido una y otra vez. No podemos esperar para seguir construyendo esta hermosa vida juntos. ¡Estamos muy emocionados de celebrar nuestro amor con todos ustedes el 1 de agosto!
