Happily Ever After

We met on New Student Move-In day and didn’t think much of it. Then we just kept bumping into one another through various events and activities. We ending up chatting about our shared love of theme parks, hot sauce on popcorn and bourbon. A bunch of us got together for a board game night. And it just clicked. He guessed my cards, I guessed his. There were fist pumps. That’s pretty much when we thought, “Okay. This could be something.” We sat talking that night until the wee hours of the morning, and the very next day, Kyle asked me on a date. We have been inseparable ever since.

We went on a weekend getaway to Disney and had planned out a fabulous series of activities and new adventures. And then the weather had other plans, it poured rain almost the whole night, from the moment of our romantic dinner to our walk to Epcot to watch Harmonious. Kyle was insistent that we take photos in front of the Epcot ball after the fireworks, but since it had just finished raining there was no photographers out. He found two women in the crowd to take our photo, and when I turned to smile for the picture, he got down on one knee and asked if I would spend happily ever after with him. I screamed, shouted "YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Minneola!
