FAQs

The Wedding Website of Lydia Poole and Evan Wilson
Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

Due to limited space at our venue, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one it will appear under your name when you RSVP through the website.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

This is a formal event and we would love to see our friends and family dressed up with us! There will be a semi-formal attire dress code in place for the wedding. For women, this includes midi or full length dresses. For men, suits, dress shirts, slacks, and formal dress pants would be appropriate. Feel free to wear whatever color you would like, but please, no white. Notably, our bridal party will be in light blue.

Question

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held indoors. We will have cocktail hour outside under a covered patio.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding an adults only atmosphere (with the exception of wedding party children). When you RSVP, our website will list all invited members of your family. We encourage you to use this as a date night to get out and have some fun!

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP as soon as you'd like! Please make sure you RSVP "yes" or "no" by April 30th. This allows us to give our vendors a correct head count prior to the wedding.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We are so grateful you traveled the distance to celebrate with us! We have friends and family from out of town, and we are so thankful you have come all this way. We will be providing out of town guests with hotel recommendations near the venue that you may book for the night! This will be located under the travel tab--be on the lookout for this as we update the website closer to time. It is our top priority that our guests arrive and depart safely, especially with alcohol being served! We encourage you to make accommodations nearby and make driving arrangements prior to the day of the wedding to ensure everyone travels safely. Uber and Lyft are allowed at the venue, but please note for all drivers that our venue is a little bit in the outskirts, and the road leading up to it is winding.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will be starting at 5:30 pm. To avoid being late and missing doors closing, we recommend arriving by 5:00 pm, allowing ample time to ensure parking and find a seat before it starts! Live music will begin at 5:00 pm, so feel free to arrive early, enjoy the string musicians, and mingle.

Question

Can I take photos/videos during the ceremony?

Answer

No. We have hired an amazing photographer and content videographer who will be there to capture all the moments of the ceremony! We do kindly ask that phones and cameras be put away during the ceremony portion. Feel free to take as many photos and videos at the conclusion of the ceremony. We can't wait to get pictures with you all during cocktail hour and our reception!
