What is the dress code?

Answer

Formalwear is suggested, but don't be afraid to wear something fun! We invite our guests to wear animal prints or motifs in honor of our chosen venue if they feel so inclined. (Not necessary for entrance, of course.)

Where is the lodge?

Answer

The past residence of the zoo's first president in the 1950s, the zoo lodge is located across the parking lot of the Birmingham Zoo park, at the top of a paved walking trail. There will be signage pointing to the entrance, and our guests are welcome to park in the zoo parking lot. Although the walking path to the zoo is relatively short, we have rented golf carts to take guests who need extra assistance in getting to the lodge.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We will send a link to RSVP virtually at a time closer to our wedding date. This will be sent in lieu of physical invitations, and be provided through our Zola account.

Will food be provided?

Answer

Yes! Taste, the Birmingham Zoo's onsite caterer, will be providing a brunch bar after the ceremony, in honor of our favorite mealtime. Donna Smith, Lydia's grandmother, has graciously agreed to bake one of her famous cakes for the occasion.
