We have different memories of how we first met. I (Lydia) remember talking to Aaron for the first time in 11th grade chemistry class, when we were sat next to each other by the teacher. Probably because I was a good student and she thought I would help Aaron focus. Aaron remembers us meeting in theater class that same year. We were often paired together by Mrs. Deyoung for scenes and projects, and he would make fun of my awful acting. Either way, we became very fast friends and talked practically every day. We often ate lunch together, went to DI after school, and hung out with other friends together. We walked together at graduation in 2018. When I went to college at BYU, we stayed good friends and managed to see each other every once in a while. No matter where we were living or how long it had been, it always felt like no time had passed at all and we were able to pick up right where we left off. After a few years, I decided I had had enough of being friends and convinced Aaron to date me and make us official (though it didn't take much convincing). A year later, Aaron proposed at a picnic in the mountains while I had a mouthful of ice cream and was completely unaware. Now, we are just so excited to start our lives together!
