Gentlemen: Dress pants with a long sleeve button up shirt. A tie or bow tie is welcome, but not required. We ask to avoid black shirts. Ladies: A dress that falls below the knees would be lovely. We kindly ask that you avoid red and white. Please keep in mind that the weather will be hot and humid, so we recommend dressing comfortably with lighter materials. The bridal party will be wearing a shade of bronze. To help keep you cool, fans and cold drinks will be provided.
Our wedding will take place at the stunning Cape Fahn, a private island off the coast of Koh Samui. Transport to and from the venue will be arranged by us.
Cape Fahn will be serving an international buffet, blending both Western and Asian flavors.
Wine and beer will be free flowing from dinner onwards.
We recommend downloading Airalo before leaving your country. You can select a mobile plan for a set period of time and land in Thailand with service. This option is cheap, safe and practical. Referral code: JESSIE7541
Getting around Koh Samui is easy with various transportation options to help you explore the island. Grab is the app used on the island, (equivalent to Uber). The hotel we prefer our guests to stay at is within walking distance of the main beach, restaurants and bars and other tourist attractions.
Cash is best in Thailand, but many places accept card. We recommend you bring a travel card for ease. A travel card will allow you to convert funds on your banking app and avoid needing to find a currency converter.
Yes, please let us know the numbers when you RSVP.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for!
Please note that unless specifically mentioned on your invitation, additional guests will not be able to attend the wedding day itself. However, we’d love for them to join us for other events during the trip!
We will be in Thailand for two weeks, June 1-14th.
We kindly ask all guests to respect our celebration and behave appropriately toward both fellow guests and staff. Any inappropriate behavior and you will be asked to leave.
Food: The are many options for food on the island, which range from street food vendors to Michelin star restaurants. If you are concerned with getting sick from the food, travelers often take probiotics 1-2 weeks leading up to travel (Herbsofgold- Probiotic+SB). Water: The tap water is not suitable for drinking. Please make sure you use bottled water for brushing your teeth. Most restaurants use purified water and ice. Mosquitos: If you are like me, you will get bitten. Please pack mosquito spray. The best spray is the pink Soffell spray sold from the local 7-11. Sun Care: Pack sunscreen, it is very expensive in Thailand.
As of now, Canadian and Australian passports do not require visa's to enter Thailand.
