I had no idea I met Ricky first. It wasn’t until Luz and I crossed paths at the University of Florida and became linesisters through Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. that we discovered the connection. Ricky, I may not remember anything from our Oak Grove Elementary days (sorry!), but what I do remember are the countless memories I’ve shared with Luz—GNV to TPA drives, chapter events, and long study nights. I cherish the love and friendship she’s shown me over the years, and I’m beyond excited for everyone to witness the love she has for Ricky on 11/29/2025. The world can feel so big, but I’m deeply grateful mine aligned in a way that brought both Luz and Ricky (back) into my life!

We have shared great memories and part of those memories is meeting Luz for the first time and getting an instant recognition that she was an amazing person for Ricky. I’m Lawrence and I’ve known Ricky since we were kids. Our families were close, and we basically grew up together. He’s like a brother to me: loyal, hilarious, and someone you can always count on. Over the years, our bond has only gotten stronger. Getting to know Luz has been just as great — the three of us have shared some unforgettable nights out and plenty of laughs. I even saw her catch the bouquet at my wedding— talk about foreshadowing! I’m honored to be part of this next chapter in their journey together. A little about me: I’m a Florida boy and have always loved spending time at the beach, hanging out with friends and family, and staying active. I’m also passionate about architecture, film, and just about anything that gets me moving or thinking creatively.
