Jackson and I met in fall of 2019 in our High School Chemistry Class. I was a junior and he was a sophomore. We ended up seated right next to each other and one day he asked me if he could borrow my markers to color in the periodic table. He then went on to ask me everyday and soon a friendship began. After a couple of months, on April 18, 2020, Jackson asked me to be his girlfriend. We have now been together over four years and it's been a blessing to be able to grow by his side.

Jackson y yo nos conocimos en el otoño de 2019 en nuestra clase de química de la escuela secundaria. Yo era una estudiante de tercer año y él era un estudiante de segundo año. Terminamos sentados uno al lado del otro y un día me preguntó si podía prestarle mis marcadores para colorear su tabla periódica. While I was on a trip down in Mississippi, visiting my oldest brother, Jackson was at my house asking my parents for my hand in marriage. He was so nervous and he has told me it was as if he was meeting my family for the first time. My mom also tells me she could feel how nervous he was but that he was serious. She says my dad asked Jackson why he wanted to marry me and he then went on to say that he loves me very much and I'm his best friend. That he wants to spend the rest of his life with me and that he will always take care of me. With that being said, he got my family's blessing and began planning the proposal. With the help of his mom, Lisa, Jackson set up the cutest proposal in Lebanon Hills Park in Eagan. I was nervously getting ready with my mom as he had told me to dress nicely and be ready at a certain time days prior. This only added to my suspicions. The whole ride to the park, Jackson and I were nervously laughing. He was so nervous up to the minute he got down on one knee. On February 1st of 2024, (exactly four years after we hung out for the first time) Jackson asked me to marry him.

Ella dice que mi papá le preguntó a Jackson por qué quería casarse conmigo y luego continuó diciendo que me ama mucho y que soy su mejor amiga. Que quiere pasar el resto de su vida conmigo y que siempre me cuidará. Dicho esto, obtuvo la bendición de mi familia y comenzó a planificar la propuesta. Con la ayuda de su madre, Lisa, Jackson organizó la propuesta más linda en Lebanon Hills Park en Eagan. Me estaba preparando nerviosamente con mi mamá, ya que él me había dicho que me vistiera bien y estuviera lista a una hora determinada días antes. Esto sólo aumentó mis sospechas.
