Flying into Pellston Airport

The closest airport to Mackinac Island is Pellston located approximately 20 minutes from the docks. Schedule Shuttles are available from the airport to the docks with reservations made in advance.

Boat Tickets to Mackinac Island

A special group rate has been secured for the Lux wedding through Shepler’s Ferry. The reservations will be made available at the end of the season. Please check back later in the year to purchase your discounted tickets.

There are a variety of exciting hotels on Mackinac Island; we recommend that you choose a hotel located downtown to be near the venues. A few hotels we recommend are The Windermere, The Murray, The Lilac Tree, The Chippewa, and The Island House.

Off Island Lodging - St. Ignace and Mackinac City

While we strongly encourage you to spend the night of the wedding on the island, we understand that this may not be possible for all of our guests. If you choose to spend some of your vacation off-island Mackinaw City and St. Ignace both have hotel options and ferries running to the island. St. Ignace is located in the beautiful Upper Peninsula and is worth the drive across the bridge to see the true north. Boat passes are available to purchase to travel to and from the island as often as you wish within an allotted timeframe.

Getting Around Mackinac Island

The Ceremony The wedding ceremony will be held at Windemere Point on Mackinac Island. From the boat dock take a left on Main Street and follow it until you reach the boardwalk at the end of town. Windmere Point is located between the Iriquoi hotel and Mackianc Island’s Public Library. The Reception The reception will be held at the Community Hall on Market Street Mackinac Island. Market Street runs parallel from Main Street. The Community Hall is located between the Stuart House Museum and the Courthouse/Fire Department.
