Meet us in Nashville!

It all started in an Illinois State University accounting class where Al caught Rachel's eye on the first day of Fall semester 2013. We ran into each other a few weeks later where Rachel made the first move. Following that, we had our first date in the library where we "studied" (really just chatted nervously) for our accounting class and essentially - the rest is history! We graduated from ISU in 2016 ready to start our adult lives and naturally, we both moved back in with our parents. Al was working as an analyst at JP Morgan and Rachel was working for a clothing wholesale showroom in Chicago. Al quickly learned that the corporate ladder was not his ideal career path and began researching entrepreneurial opportunities. He eventually landed on opening a junk removal company in Nashville. He called Rachel one day and said "I think I'm going to move to Nashville." to which she replied, "Oooooookay!" He made the move down in June of 2017. Rachel had just started a new job back home, so we decided that long distance would work for the next 11 months. Rachel moved down to Nashville in May of 2018. We adopted our first puppy Blue later that Fall. We spent the next several years exploring our new city and establishing a life here. Rachel ended up finding a love of working in the event industry and Al's business was thriving. By Spring of 2022 we had a second puppy, Maire, and had moved into our first house! Rachel knew the engagement had to be right around the corner, so when they began planning a trip to Hawaii in May 2023 she had a good feeling it might happen then. Sure enough, Al proposed one evening during sunset on the beach! After 9 years together, we are SO excited to be celebrating our marriage with our closest family and friends. We chose our wedding date because it falls on the same weekend as our 10 year dating anniversary, so we expect you to party with us accordingly! We cannot wait to begin this next chapter in our lives!
