Where to Stay

The ceremony and reception will take place at Villa Regina Teodolinda, nestled in the charming town of Laglio. For your stay, we recommend considering accommodations in the nearby town of Cernobbio. Just a 10-minute drive from Laglio, Cernobbio offers a wider selection of hotels and rental options to suit a range of preferences and budgets. Additionally, the welcome boat party the evening before will depart from and return to Cernobbio, making it a particularly convenient place to stay. While we will not be reserving room blocks, we’re happy to share specific hotel recommendations in advance if you’d like guidance on where to stay. Hotel reccomendations will be shared at a later date.

Getting to the Lake from Airport

Public Transportation (Most Budget-Friendly) For those comfortable navigating public transit, you can take the Malpensa Express train to Como. The journey takes about 1–1.5 hours. Alternatively, direct buses run from the airport to Como in about 55 minutes. From Como, Cernobbio & Laglio are both short taxi rides (about 10-20 minutes). Rental Car (Most Flexible) Renting a car from the airport is a great option if you’d like to explore the lake region at your own pace. The drive to Laglio & Cernobbio takes around 45–60 minutes depending on traffic. Please note, an international drivers license may be required to rent a car in Italy. This can be applied for and purchased in advance through AAA. Taxi or Private Transfer (Most Convenient) For a seamless, door-to-door experience, taxis and private transfers are readily available from the airport. Travel time is 45-60 minutes depending on traffic.

Shuttle

Cernobbio Shuttle

For guests staying in Cernobbio, we will be providing transportation via shuttle after the reception ends at 11pm. If you choose to stay in a different area of the lake, return transportation will be your own responsibility. Please note: taxis and Ubers are not available late at night around the lake. Please plan to drive to the ceremony or arrange another plan. For those who choose to drive, there will be a parking lot at the venue. More updates to come on this! We want to make sure everyone has a way to get home safely so please reach out to us with any concerns or questions.
