THE RICKERS

On a scary Friday night, two groups of friends went to Halloween Horror Nights. This was the night that we were introduced to each other by both of our roommates, Emma and Ben. We spent an entire spooky season getting to know each other.

Three months after we met, we finally decided to go on our first date. We went to see Frozen 2 at Disney Springs. Three things went horribly wrong on this date. First, Andrew wore a vest that was entirely too small. Second, Casey's cat wouldn't stop screaming while Andrew walked her to the door. Third, Casey got sick from dinner and her stomach could be heard grumbling even over the cat screams. All in all, a perfect night.

The time had come for our next big step, it was time to move in together. In the summer of 2021, we moved back to Casey's hometown, The Villages. We've spent the last three years making this place feel like home. We've built our fur family here, hosted parties here, and started our lives together here.

It was a normal Wednesday at work until Andrew suggested a Disney Double Date Night with our best friends. What I thought would be an uneventful evening turned into an unforgettable night as we walked around our favorite hotel. It was there that Andrew surprised me by getting down on one knee and proposing to me with a ring that he had designed just for me!

After nearly five years, we did it - we got married! FINALLY. On November 8th, 2024 we decided to officially start our Happily Ever After by going to the courthouse. We were able to celebrate with our family and make memories that will last forever.
