Fly | Telluride Airport (TEX)

Telluride Airport (TEX) is definitely the most convenient airport but can run on the more expensive side of things. If you choose to fly into Telluride, you'll want to connect in Phoenix (PHX) or Denver (DEN) and fly on Denver Air Connection to Telluride Airport (TEX).

Rental Car

Airport Shuttle | Telluride Express

You do not need a rental car when visiting Telluride unless you would like to explore the region or have mobility limitations. To get from Montrose or Telluride Airport, we recommend booking a shuttle with Mountain Limo or Telluride Express. It's about a 20 minute drive to any hotel/home rental from Telluride Airport and a 1.5 hour drive to Telluride from Montrose. Telluride Express has less expensive shuttles with larger vans and buses but you have to be patient as you'll participate in public drop offs for all other guests if you're in a public shuttle. That said, you can book a private shuttle with Telluride Express as well. Mountain Limo is the more expensive option but the service is higher end and they offer smaller shuttles for private bookings.

Mountain Lodge is another favorite in Mountain Village. We recommend looking at 2-bedroom condos, 3-bedroom suites, and 4-bedroom cabins here. This is a great option for larger parties and includes 30% off or more in our wedding block. You’ll have access to the pool, hot tubs, fitness room, and shuttle services in Mountain Village. It’s also right on the mountain so has great access to hiking and biking trails.

Telluride Town Park Campground

For those who love the outdoors, the Telluride Town Park Campground is a great place to stay during our wedding weekend! Nestled along the San Miguel River and just a short walk to downtown, this scenic campground offers a true mountain experience. Set a reminder! Campground reservations for our wedding weekend open on Tuesday, July 8 at 9:00 am MST. This booking window opens for reservations from August 11 through August 20 and August 24 through September 9. For the sake of convenience, we definitely recommend staying in the Town of Telluride, if possible. While we don't have a room block here, the New Sheridan Hotel is one of our favorite hotels in Town with a rich history and wonderful boutique-style hotel rooms.

We ask that you not book with Airbnb or VRBO during your time in Telluride as these short-term rentals are controversial in our small town with limited rental housing availability.
