Ashlynn and I attended Abilene Christian University together for four and a half years. Though we met briefly during freshman year welcome week it wasn't until the beginning of our sophomore year that I was formally introduced to the future love of my life. At the beginning of our sophomore year, we ended up attending the same social event with a group of friends. I had seen Ashlynn around campus and mentioned how beautiful she was in conversation with our mutual friend Ashley. She put us in touch with one another, and I decided to ask Ashlynn out for a coffee at the campus Starbucks. I figured that I had this meeting with a pretty girl in the bag, so I went into the library with all the confidence in the world. I sat at a table, ordered our coffees, and sat down at a table waiting for her to show up at the agreed meeting time... In true Ashlynn form she was late, and by late I mean she totally stood me up. I waited at that table for 15 minutes after our agreed-upon time before deciding that she wasn't going to show, so I just left and texted her that something had come up. She texted me [an hour] later saying that she had been on the other side of the library waiting for a "courtesy arrival text." Ask her to explain this part I am still lost. After my pride healed a bit and I decided I'd still like to take the cute blonde girl out so I asked her for a second coffee and made sure to send a "courtesy text" to my and everyone's surprise it was the first (and only date) she ever arrived to on time. We had hours of conversation and I found myself lost in her eyes and her twinkling bubbly laugh. I couldn't imagine having found someone who loves me (and Starbucks) more. Ashlynn loves with her entire heart in a way that only Christ can teach us to love. She makes me laugh and pushes me to do my best. There is no doubt in my mind that I have found the one whom my soul loves (Song of Solomon 3:4). Thank you for being a part of our day, Bryce
